Weight is a measure of how strongly gravity is pulling on your mass. Since the Moon has 1/6th the gravity of Earth, the moon pulls on your mass with only 1/6th of the force that the Earth does, and so your weight on the Moon is only 1/6th of your weight on the Earth. .
