Why does V from Vendetta wear a mask?
It’s not just because he’s burnt. The reason he doesn’t let Evey see his face is because he doesn’t want people to know him as a person but rather as a personification of the ideals he represents, if they focus too much on V as a person then they forget about the things he did and why he did them and they would be disappointed to find out that the “superman” that does all these things is just a human like them. The reason he chose Guy Fawkes is because Fawkes’ ideas were similar to V’s. He’s burnt completely when the camp he’s being held in (and experimented on) is destroyed in a fire.
