The UTSA Athletics Department does not receive any state aid or tuition money. Its budget is funded by student fees, donations and sponsorship/ticket sales. Annual donations to the Roadrunner Athletic Fund help pay for scholarships, recruitment of student athletes, recruitment and retention of the highest quality staff and coaches, academic support, team travel and other operating expenses.
