Why does urine sometimes smell really strong and is very dark yellow/brown colour?
This does not mean you are dehydrated simply because our bodies need to get rid of waste materials during our sleep. You can obviously not drink in your sleep so having dark urine first thing in the morning is perfectly normal. As long as it’s not dark in the rest of the day, you are not dehydrated. Our bodies have a different ways of dealing with waste materials so it can vary between individuals. Excess vitamins can be considered waste materials, and since your husband likely has more muscle mass compared to body mass then he might not be excreting as much as you since he might be utilizing more of them. If your urine also tastes sweet then that’s a strong sign of diabetes because there should not be any sugar in your urine (doctors used to taste it before modern technology).
