Why does UCit need secured rooms for network equipment and cable distribution centers?
UCit requires a secured space, used exclusively for housing the UC telecommunications and data network infrastructure, to protect the network wiring and equipment from inadvertent or malicious damage. A secured room provides better security for the data and voice conversations that are transmitted through this infrastructure. Telecommunications and data network equipment is expensive and a secured room protects UC’s financial investment in the equipment.
