Why does there need to be a third party trustee involved when I invest IRA money in Christian Investors Foundation?

0

The Internal Revenue Code requires that IRA funds be held by a qualified trustee or custodian. Christian Investors Foundation does not have trust powers and thus cannot serve as trustee or custodian for IRA funds directly. We do, however, have an arrangement with a trust company that will allow you to direct your IRA investment to any of our Term Certificates. This shall not constitute an offer to sell or the solicitation of an offer to buy, nor shall there be any sale of the Investment Certificates in any state in which such offer, solicitation or sale is not authorized. The offering is made solely by the Offering Circular. The Investment Certificates are not FDIC insured. Christian Investors Foundation reserves the right to discontinue offering these Investment Certificates at any time.
