Why does the WORKship Methodist Church serve Sunday Brunch for homeless women, children and men during the worship service?

There are many reasons we combine Work with Worship. Here are just three: First, that’s what we’ve been told to do. We explore Christian scripture each week and we also respectfully consider scripture from other faiths as well. What our ongoing study tells us is that God wants us to help each other and He wants us to help each other right here and right now. Second, we truly enjoy helping others while we worship. It is a wonderful experience to sing, pray, laugh and eat among friends. And third, we are trying to be a humble example for other churches. The world’s churches do an inspiring job and we hope our small example can help them to be even better.
