Why does the WireFire home page load slowly even though I have a fast connection?
If you have a reasonably fast connection, and you have previously allowed the page to fully load, your problem might be the COOKIE cache. This is a place where your web browser stores junk from every page you have ever visited. Your cache gets full, cluttered and simply bogs your machine down.Clearing the cache will clean things up and restore proper speed. You need to do this every so often to maintain fast internet performance. • With Internet Explorer 4.0, click on VIEW/INTERNET OPTIONS/SETTINGS/VIEW FILES. You will see a list of cached files from pages you have visited. If the list is too long, your PC will slow down when loading web pages. • Click on EDIT/SELECT ALL then hit your Delete button • Windows will ask if you are sure you want to delete cookies… say YES. • When all done. Go back to our home page and let it re-load. From now on it will be much faster. All other browsers have the same problem, so find the cookie folder and empty it whatever browser you have.
