The Wi-Fire is a completely separate and new network adapter for your computer. It will not affect your existing Airport Card, and you don’t even already need to have an Airport Card in order to enjoy the long-range connection benefits of the Wi-Fire. To use the Wi-Fire, use the Wi-Fire Connection Manager software and not the Airport Card utility.
