Why does the University of California, Riverside, provide a Womens Resource Center?

0

The University of California, Riverside, provides a Women’s Resource Center (WRC) to empower women and men in the campus community. The office was established to provide awareness on women’s and men’s issues and concerns, to improve the campus climate, and to promote equitable treatment, access, and success for both sexes. It is concomitantly a place where female and male students can develop personally, educationally, culturally, socially, politically, and professionally. The intent is to enhance the quality of individuals’ lives through advocacy, co-curricular programs, support groups, and referrals.
