Why does the trend line for my zip code increase while the zestimate for my home decreases?
Ive typically seen this recently when values of LOWER priced homes in an area will increase (typically due to availability of financing) but the HIGHER priced home dont, and if your home is one of the HIGHER priced ones, proportionally it will show a decrease in values (with respect to the other LOWER priced homes in the area). Good news, though, you want your area to increase more than you want your individual home to increase because the sampling is larger for the area values vs. individual home values.
