Treated lumber is not typically dried after treating. When freshly (wet) treated lumber is exposed to the hot sun it will quickly dry on the exposed surface causing shrinking, twisting and warping. It is best to stack treated lumber with spacers between the boards and allow them to dry out some in a shaded area before starting an outdoor project. Banding the boards or weighting down the top of the stack will help to keep the boards in place reducing warping. This is also a good reason to make sure you are rotating the oldest inventory out first as it has had a chance to dry out some.
