WHY DOES THE TRANSFORMER TURN ON FOR A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME THEN TURN OFF?
Check the photocell. Cover the eye with black electrical tape. If transformer will not turn on, or if transformer turns off prior to timer off, replace photocell. Check timer. Remove timer and plug cord directly into transformer. Check primary fuse. If fuse is blown, check total bulb wattage. If it exceeds 80% of transformers capacity, unit may be overloaded. Always check with Amp probe.
