Why does the transaction SPAU display objects with a question mark?
If objects are displayed with a question mark in the transaction SPAU, the adjustment mode (automatic, semi-automatic, obsolete note, or manual) has not yet been determined. When you enter the transaction SPAU or when you click a question mark, the system displays a dialog box. This dialog box allows you to start a background process to determine the adjustment modes. After the installation of the Note Assistant the system starts this background process automatically when the upgrade or the import of the Support Package is completed. During that background process, the report SAPRUPGM determines the adjustment modes (automatic, semi-automatic, and manual) for these objects. These modes correspond to the green, yellow and red traffic light symbols in the tree display. If you still see the question marks after refreshing the tree display, you should restart the background process to determine the adjustment modes and then wait a short time.
