Why does the Tax Masters rating with the Better Business Bureau change so much from month to month?
The Better Business Bureau (BBB) here in Houston records all complaints logged with them. Oddly enough, some of those complaints are logged by people who aren’t even our clients. We address each complaint, but the complaint does not get closed until the submitter informs the BBB that their complaint has been resolved. Some complaint submitters never respond to our explanations and some we can never reach again. While all this is going on, the number of unresolved complaints with the BBB goes up. When the BBB finally determines that a complaint is no longer active, they close it out. Understaffed and overworked, the BBB tends to resolve high numbers of complaints in one fell swoop. This is why our BBB complaint numbers can fluctuate so dramatically. We would like to point out that one BBB complaint is too many.
