Why does the switch require a neutral wire in the electrical wall box?

0

The neutral wire allows the circuitry internal to the PowerSURE Power Failure Light to connect to a complete 120V AC circuit for proper operation. If there no neutral wire is available, the safety light will behave as if there is a power failure. The LED light will stay on when it is dark until the batteries are exhausted. It will still work as a standard switch.
