Why does the steamer make a gurgling noise and spit water from the hose?

During operation, the steamer hose may gurgle. This is a normal result of condensation collecting inside the hose. Simply lift the T-handle upward until the hose is extended to its full height. The gurgling will disappear when the excess moisture inside the hose has had a chance to drain back into the base. Check to be sure you do not have too much water in the tank. Be sure to periodically raise and straighten the hose when steaming in a low position. Always keep fresh water in the reservoir and rinse your water tank regularly. Decalcification may be necessary periodically to remove sediment and mineral deposit buildup (instructions below). Check to ensure that your steam head and/or handle are not broken or contain cracks, which could potentially cause leakage.
