When used in pairs, they are ideal for handling the many changing forces experienced by a trike’s steering assembly. They are widely used in many engineering situations and are readily available from any local bearing supplier. After tens of thousands of miles of very hard testing there is no perceptible wear in any of the prototype or demonstrator trikes’ kingpin bearings.
