Make sure that the patch is actually freezing. Some patch files, like Always.dat, are large files and can take several minutes to apply. Please wait up to 8 minutes for the patch to fully install. If the patch is still freezing there are a few steps you can take. Make sure that you have enough space in your temp file for the download. Click here for instructions on clearing your Temp file.
