The Queen Mother’s great nephew Rab C. Nesbitt does not have a royal title because it was felt that there were enough titled relatives running around spending money and asking for their “allowances” from the Queen to be increased. To be fair, the Queen Mother DID ask, but Prince Philip nixed both the title and the allowance, and the Queen said she couldn’t interfere in the matter. So, no title…and no money….for Nesbitt.
