Why does the public have input after the scenarios come out?

This year’s strict State and local mandates for meeting class size and school concurrency requirements will drive the rationale for recommended boundary changes. As with previous years, boundary changes are the Superintendent’s recommendations. Although community drawn boundary scenarios will not be accepted this year, community input on the Superintendent’s recommended boundary changes is still encouraged. The community will have opportunities to comment on the Superintendent’s boundary recommendations during the Community Conferences scheduled in January and the Public Hearings scheduled in February and March.
