Why does the PITB have sine solutions?
The fact that we had solutions for the infinite well in sine form only before, rather than writing them as sines or cosines, is just because of the way we chose the boundary points. When we discussed the infinite well, it went from 0 to , and we could write down all solutions in the form and satisfy the boundary conditions at and with just a sine function.
