On the PC, the player should appear as a Removable Disk in the My Computer window when connected via the USB cable. If not, check that the USB (Universal Serial Bus) Controller is functioning normally, and reinstall the USB Controller driver if necessary. Consult you PC’s manual for doing this. Also, find the driver in Control Panel -> System -> Hardware -> Device Manager -> Universal Serial Bus Controllers and check that it’s installed and enabled, with no red X or yellow question mark next to it.
