Why does the optimization feature seem to ignore some of the field points, or why does the optimized system perform so much better at some wavelengths than others?
The most common reasons are 1) You have modified the field values or weights or the wavelength values or weights and then forgot to reconstruct the default merit function, and 2) The variables you have defined do not have sufficient influence on the merit function.
