Why does the Office of Budget & Planning need to approve PeopleAdmin requests and PAF’s?
The Office of Budget & Planning reviews PeopleAdmin requests for new positions, reclassifications and refills of vacant positions. In doing so, we are verifying that the funding source is correct, that funds are available or the department has identified funding and the position number is correct or that a new position needs to be created. We review PAF’s to review that funding exists for the action, so that we can update the budget for any changes in an employee’s salary or funding source. We only review PAF’s for permanent and temporary staff positions.
