Why does the moon causes high tides on earth?

0

Every planet has got its own gravitational pull. It attracts the object towards its center. The gravitational force differs from planet to planet may be because of its mass. The gravitational pull of the earth is disturbed while the moon comes in between earth & sun. The imaginary line connecting the earth, moon and sun will have some reduced effect of gravitational pull on earth. If the earth is about to be attacked by earthquakes it accelerates the process. But since the sea contains water it is easy to raise its level instead of pushing the whole earth mass. That is why the full moon and new moon days are more vulnerable days for seismic activity. Especially it causes Tsunami. The Sumatra Tsunami was affected on full moon day only. After sensing the earthquake waves by my quake alarm for an unusual time of 12 minutes 2 hours before Tsunami struck our coast I have alerted the local T.V.stations about the probable sea roughness. .But my alert message was ignored.
