Why does the message “Corrupted permanent variable” sometimes appear when opening a database?

0

Each time it opens a database Panorama V checks the validity of any permanent variable in that database. (Even if you haven’t set up a variable yourself many Panorama wizards do set up permanent variables in your databases to store configuration information, including the Live Clairvoyance wizard, Generic Fields, Text Export, Text Import, Speech Wizard, and Hotkey Manager.) If a variable is corrupted, Panorama displays an error message and fixes the variable (any value stored in the variable is lost, however). Previous versions of Panorama would not check for corruption and would sometimes crash if there was a problem with a variable. Back to top.
