Why does the LCD say “Stopping Portmap” when I shutdown?

0

When shutting down a Strongbolt Qube 3, Strongbolt RaQ 3, Strongbolt RaQ 4, or Strongbolt RaQ 550, the initscripts output the shutdown of services to the LCD on the server. The last service to report a shutdown is Portmap. After this the server will continue to poweroff whilst still showing “Stopping Portmap” on the LCD. The server will halt correctly, still outputting this message to the LCD. We are working on a kernel update that outputs a message on the LCD (on RaQ3,4 and Qube3) and switches off (on a RaQ550) when you shutdown. We do not consider this a critical issue, as these servers are web servers, and should always be on. Please wait a minute or so after powering down before switching the appliance off. When we have resolved this, we will email update information to all of our customers.
