Why does the LAN Modem report “NO DIAL TONE”?
A. It could be that the phone line is in the wrong port. Make sure it is in the port marked “LINE”. Connect a phone to the port labeled “PHONE”, and try to make a phone call. If this doesn’t work, you should contact your phone company. If the line is in the “PHONE” port, and the phone is in the “LINE” port, you will still be able to make and receive voice calls – but the LAN Modem won’t be able to detect dial tone. Make sure that the phone line is in the port marked “LINE”.
