Why does the label say for people on anticoagulants to consult their physician prior to taking StemEnhance® and what information does their physician need?
The issue pertains to the anticoagulant medication called Coumadin™ or Warfarin. People on warfarin are usually advised by their prescribing physician to pay attention to the amount of vitamin K in their diet. Like many foods StemEnhance contains naturally occurring vitamin K. So, taking StemEnhance would be just like eating a food with vitamin K like broccoli or spinach. The Recommended Daily Allowance of vitamin K is 80 mcgs. Just let the physician know that 2 capsules of StemEnhance have approximately 40 mcgs of vitamin K, which is ½, the RDA of vitamin K. To give you an example of comparisons to other foods one cup of broccoli, raw, chopped has “about” 110% of the RDA (or 88 mcg) of vitamin K. A ½ cup of spinach, fresh, boiled has about 555% of the RDA (or 444 mcgs) of vitamin K.
