The Kraken dies because Lord Cutler Beckett ordered Davy Jones to kill it. Jack, Barbossa and their crew finding the Kraken dead is significant because Jack Sparrow said that he would like to be the last pirate. Meanwhile the Kraken is the last of it’s kind and it has died and now there are no more Krakens. Captain Jack Sparrow realizes that if he is the last of his kind and he dies there will be no more pirates. So then he decides that he must go to the bretheren court and save pirates from going extinct.
