Why does the Kanal® Pillow have a separate 1 inch foam adjustment?
Without this extra piece there would only be two levels of support to choose from, but no pillow height adjustment. With the extra foam plate there is a total of 4 choices and an opportunity to achieve the perfect combination of size and support. • Why do we call it the Kanal® Pillow? This pillow has a patented channel or canal running the whole width of the pillow. In Sweden, the term “canal” would be written as “kanal”, hence the name was chosen. This facilitates proper neck support, pressure relief on the shoulder and prevents pinched nerves due to excessive neck rotation while sleeping face up. • Can the Kanal® Pillow really be used to sleep on your stomach? We would never recommend such. However, if one insists on stomach sleeping, the use of our lower side without the extra 1″ foam plate will accommodate stomach sleeping better than most pillows.
