Why does the IRD not offer half-unit courses at the BSc level?
The IRD believes that at the undergraduate level, breadth of study is just as important as depth of study. Half-unit courses are intensive, in-depth treatments of quite specialised areas and are thus most appropriately taken at the MSc level. However, this situation may be subject to review in the future.
