Why does the installer say my computer doesn’t have a valid serial number?
Hidden requires a valid Apple serial number. Follow these instructions to check your computer: • Click on the Apple menu icon on the top left of your screen • Choose “About This Mac” • In the popup window click “More Info” • A new window will open, look near the bottom of the list on the right hand side for “Serial Number (system):” • If you see “SystemSerialNumb” or “System Serial #” then you might need to have your serial number fixed. It’s a quick job and your local Apple store should be happy to help!
