Why does the Idea Generator come up with such strange responses?
The Idea Generator works on a simple random number generator principal. It picks a number from each of many categories and then outputs the word or phrase that is assigned to that number. Even though the responses are witty at times, you should still consider them carefully. Remember, the reason that you are using the Idea Generator is to think in a different way than you are thinking currently. If you are writing a victorian-based story and the generated response is “Cult”, the word may start you thining about what types of cults would be around then. Perhaps this could lead you to develop a social clique that plots against your protagonist.
