Why does the heart pump blood to the lungs?

0

The heart pumps blood into the lungs to get oxygen into the blood. It needs to do this because all of the organs and muscles need oxygen to operate. The blood is a great transit to get oxygen into your body and this is why when your choking you start feeling light headed. The air is not getting to your brain via blood. When your working out it causes you to breath harder because you muscles are trying to get more oxygen to them. The heart pumps blood to the lungs so that the cells can pick up oxygen to bring to the rest of the body so those parts can work.
