Why does the grant not cover the insulation of all rooms?

We provide 100% grants to cover the cost of providing acoustic secondary glazing for up to two living rooms, all bedrooms (in recognition the greater disturbance which noise can cause at night) regardless of the size of the individual property. Our schemes are funded by the taxpayer and although we aim to be reasonable and fair, cost must come into the equation. Our aim is not therefore to insulate the whole house but to allow people to carry on with their normal routines without disturbance of aircraft noise.
