Why does the game end and declare me the winner as soon as the game starts in an Internet game?
XWIS Online is a matching service only. When you select other users to play with, and hit Start Game… XWIS matches your IP address with the other players and then passes the information to the game. From then on, all communication is happening directly between the host and the other player(s). If one of the players has a poor connection, (low ping rate, etc), the user may get disconnected during the load process. If this happens, the user left in the game when it starts is instantly declared victorious. The only solution to this is for the user to only play with similar connections, or make sure both users have all background programs shut down prior to launching the game. Red Alert 2 version 1.005 and 1.006 supports NAT – Network Address Translating, commonly used when sharing Internet connections, through Windows Internet Connection Sharing (ICS), or programs like Sygate. This can also happen if you are behind a firewall or proxy server behind your Internet connection. Please check
