Why does the file I sent to the Codonics printer not print?

0

A common problem with the Codonics printer are filenames containing spaces and special characters (?,\,/,#,$,:,etc.). Avoid filenames like image08/15/99.tif, my image.gif, etc. Reason: The Codonics runs internally a UNIX operating system. The UNIX file system is unable to handle spaces, slashes and other special characters in filenames. The printer actually receives the file but then cannot find it anymore in its file system and therefore the image never prints out.
