The quick disconnect must be installed correctly in the pool wall (Universal Wall Fitting). As you insert the QD into the UWF you will turn the quick disconnect clockwise until it stops and then gently pull back locking the it in place. If either of the pegs that lock the QD into the UWF are damaged or broken, you will need to replace the UWF (part #6-500-00).
