When you open a popped bag of microwave popcorn the inside should be greasy and there should be oil in the bottom of the bag. That’s a lot of oil that isn’t making it onto the popcorn, hence not making it into your system. Therefore, the fat content is reduced for popped popcorn. For unpopped, they just measure the total oil they put in.
