Why does the Equipment Management Department need to approve requisitions over $5000 on Sponsored accounts?
The Equipment Management Department approves all requisitions on Sponsored accounts with an acquisition cost of $5000 and greater in order to ensure that all restrictions are followed as mandated by the Sponsoring Agency. Once Equipment Management receives the requisition from Purchasing Services we ensure that any restrictions set by the agency, such as equipment allowability and ownership, are followed in accordance with the appropriate Government or Sponsored agency regulations.
