Why does the Egyptian Government support Zionism at the expense of Gazans?
Because as much as Egypt hates Israel, they hate the Palestinians more. In 1970, Palestinians tried to take over Jordan, resulting in “Black September,” when the Jordanian government killed over 20,000 Palestinians in a single year (more than double Israel has killed in 61 years). Egypt does not want a population of belligerent, angry, people ruled by a terrorist organization (Egypt hates Hamas) to have the opportunity to destabilize the entire country. The fact that you fail to realize that Egypt has its own position regarding the Palestinians, independent of its relationship with Israel, shows how ignorant you are in terms of this conflict.
