Why does the dial-up connection sound different than the broadband (hi-speed) connection?

They are different files with different streaming rates. The dial-up connection is set to stream slowly enough (in this case 20kb/sec) to allow continuous playback on your PC with minimal re-buffering. Dial-up Internet connections only allow much slower data transfer and faster streaming rates would continually be re-buffering. Our broadband (Hi-speed) connection is considered CD quality.
