WHY DOES THE DATE CHANGE AT 5 PM (8 PM or 11 PM, ETC)?

The daily clock is set to the Greenwich Mean Time time zone. If you are in a different time zone, the date may change for you at a time other than midnight. We had to choose one time zone for our clock, so we went with the worlds standard GMT.
