Why does the County charge more for the 3rd Vehicle Specific Permit than for the 1st two permits?
A. Because street space is limited, we charge a little more for those who use the program more intensely. The first vehicle is free (with the FlexPass), and the 4th vehicle costs a little more than the 3rd, although it still does not fully pay for the costs of the program. We find that the third vehicle permit is used by about 12% of households in zoned areas.
