Why does the cost of engine oil or car servicing continue to rise when the cost of crude oil has recently fallen?

All of the oil manufacturers buy their base oil (already partially refined crude oil) in $US dollars which is an industry standard. Due to the recent rapid decline of the $A dollar verse the greenback & the continuing rise of raw materials used for packaging & freight costs, the oil producers are increasing their costs to the smaller workshops. To a certain degree, we also have to pass on some of the costs to remain viable as business.
