Check the DIP settings on the keypads. The most common mistake is to look at the “ON” indicator on the DIP switch array and assume the first switch should be in the up position. The zone switch settings are based on a binary digital code and therefore the reference to “ON” is irrelevant. On the back of the keypad “1” refers to the switch in the down position, and “0” refers to the switch in the up position. If you are referring to the manual on pages 10 and 11, the gray portion of the graphic represents the switch position. When I choose a source in one zone, all the other keypads jump to that same source. Remember that the Essentia and Simplese systems have a source grouping function. This enables you to set up more than one zone to share the same source selection. This is intended for areas like a kitchen, breakfast nook, and dining room that are one living space and not defined by solid walls.
