This problem was caused by a bug in older versions of Mac OS X. It has been fixed in Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard). If you still use an older version of Mac OS X, you can work around this problem by selecting Turn Hiding On/Off from the Apple menu or by clicking the item “Turn Hiding On/Off” in KeyCue’s shortcut table.
