Why does the color change dramatically when I paste into the Pictograph in FreeHand 7 Windows 95?

Issue: The color of my object pasted into the Pictograph windows changes dramatically. After clicking okay and the Pictograph is applied the the chart it looks okay. Solution: Change the monitor color bit depth to greater than 256 colors. This is usually changed in Control Panel>Display>Settings>Color palette.
